Ingredients:
- Kechki maach (Minnow fish) - 250 gm
- Chopped onion - 6 tablespoons
- Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
- Ground turmeric - ½ teaspoon
- Green chili - 3 to 4
- Chopped coriander - 2 tablespoon
- Fried cumin powder - ½ teaspoon
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
- Oil - ¼ cup
- Clean the fish carefully in water. Rinse and drain properly.
- Fry a little bit of oil in a pan, and dry the fish over very low heat. This will keep the fish intact and retain its fresh look.
- In another pan, brown onion in heated oil.
- Add garlic, turmeric, salt and some water. Mix thoroughly.
- Add the fish and chili.
- Once the fish start to dry up and become flaky, add fried cumin powder and coriander.
- Wait for a few more minutes to let the oil separate out, and serve.
